Having turned a passion for gaming into a career, Chris from 8bitAesthetics noticed a gap in the market back in 2011 and has since created a host of customised Gameboys and cartridges that he sells to customers from all over the world.
Starting from his hometown in Middletown, NY, Chris was browsing the web for a Gameboy and a copy of Pokemon he could play in his downtime. It was then that he discovered some original Gameboys with backlights installed, and he was instantly hooked. From then on he created his own and before he knew it had others asking, so he kept the ball rolling and it is now his full-time career.
Whilst working alone from the comfort of his own home, Chris has a small team of talented artists who have helped design many of the cases and prints he has to offer. There are lots of sick designs ranging from Rick and Morty, Mega Man, and Zelda to name a few.
Chris has big plans for the future and only hopes to grow the business with more designs and options for anyone interested, and has already come a long way since the beginning. Starting with Gameboy consoles, he is now customising Nintendo Switch Pro controllers, Gameboy Advance SP, and original NES consoles, but has said if he can take it apart and put it back together, he can most likely work some magic on it.
